Instrument Transformers
Monitoring the power networks is a vital function but directly connecting instrumentation equipment to the lines would be very dangerous given the high voltages and fault currents. Wide use is made of instrument transformers which separate the live cables from the instrumentation equipment. The instrument transformers must be reliable, accurate and offer the necessary isolation. BEAMA members provide a wide range of instrument transformers.
