Energy Storage in Buildings
The BEAMA Energy Storage in Buildings Group represents manufacturers and service providers throughout the supply chain of energy storage and connections within the built environment
We are committed to promoting standards, specifications, regulations and policy that make buildings smart, livable, energy efficient and net providers of energy network flexibility.
The work program of the Group is led by members. Current activities are focused on three areas:
- Design and delivery of a comprehensive, Government-backed Trustmark Data Warehouse, securely storing energy information about buildings, including a register of installed energy storage assets
- Ensuring the UK has the right standards, specifications, regulations and policies in place to ensure the safety of installed energy storage assets, and the skilled workforce to install and service them
- Making every UK building smart, efficient and future-ready and working to design and deliver markets that support and reward energy system flexibility.
