Defra Business Readiness Forum (BRF) status and upcoming events

Status

Defra hosted its most recent Business Readiness Forum on Tuesday the 28th of March. The agenda covered these items:

  1. CPR Programme Update
  2. Visioning Sprints
  3. Deposit Return Scheme
  4. Draft Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging and Packaging Waste) Regulations 2023

We are still awaiting the readout from Defra on this forum and once given the relevant information will be given be posted here.

 

Impact

Outcomes and further information on Q&As from the previous sessions can be found have been circulated by Defra and can be found here.

Defra also held a webinar on the 2nd of February that gave information on Household and non-Household packaging. The recording can be viewed on YouTube and the Q&A session can be found here.
