IEC 61439 Parts 1 & 2 Changes Webinar - Recording and Slide Pack

On Tuesday the 10th of November we held an IEC 61439 Parts 1 & 2 Changes Webinar.
The IEC 61439 series of standards underpins low voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies in terms of safety and performance. Edition 2 of the series has been in existence for the past nine years. New editions of IEC 61439 Part 1 (General Rules) and Part 2 (Power Switchgear & Controlgear assemblies) have now been published. Part 2 covers assemblies that are frequently referred to in the UK as: Switchboards, Panel boards and Motor Control Centres.
There are numerous changes in the third editions which can be split into four categories:
- Changes reflecting evolving market needs
- Significant technical changes
- Opportunities for verification by means other than test
- Important clarification
The webinar provided an insight into these changes from experts involved in the preparation of the new editions. Below you will find the recording of the webinar along with the slide pack.
