BEAMA's Market Pulse Report
BEAMA has developed the Market Pulse publication to draw together the data we gather from our industry, via our membership, on key trends and indicators for growth, presenting the statistical evidence in a digestible format alongside analysis of causes and effects.
This is combined with other key data from other sources, including HM Government, agencies such as Ofgem and our partner trade associations in the energy and electrical sectors. This will typically include data on
- BEAMA Trends Survey data and analysis – plotting levels of sales, exports, business optimism and other metrics across the electrotechnical industry
- Networks – network operator spend vs projected forecasts
- Heat – heat pump deployment, installer numbers
- EVs – numbers of registrations, compared with petrol/diesel.
- Smart Meter rollout – current levels plotted against government targets
- National Economic data – growth in our industry sector against whole economy and other manufacturing
This provides an extract of indicators of the state of electrical and energy manufacturing as a resource for members and other industry participants. Its primary purpose is to take the pulse of our industry markets and provide the data to enable our evidence-led engagement with Government to drive the policies to enable significant growth for advanced manufacturing and clean energy.
