Amendment of Article 19 of Regulation EU (517/2017

The European Commission (COM) is consulting on a draft implementing regulation to amend how information required by article 19 of Regulation (EU) No 517/2014 on fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gases) is reported. This is currently specified in implementing regulation (EU) No 1191/2014. The draft implementing regulation on which COM is consulting amends implementing regulation (EU) No 1191/2014. The draft implementing regulation now under consultation:
- amends the structure of the information required on certain characteristics of hydrofluorocarbons (HFC) to align it with the reporting format used by the parties to the Montreal Protocol
- requires the inclusion of information on the destination of exports and the origin of imports as of 2020
- includes additional differentiations and comments in the current format in section 2
- deletes the reporting format set out in Section 13 because it is obsolete
