Accessibility Act considered at IMCO Committee

The draft report of the European Accessibility Act was considered by the IMCO Committee. The report intends to set common accessibility requirements for certain products and services across the single market. Orgalime is cumulating its lobbying efforts with Business Europe and advocated against the confusing and deceptive use of the CE marking in such EU legislation to the assistant of the Shadow Rapporteur for the EPP, Mrs. Sabine Verheyen (EPP, DE). The deadline for amendments by MEPs to the draft report is 8 Feb.
