Following intensive lobbying by BEAMA and other industry bodies, the Government has announced:
- UK Customs declarations will be subject to easements until 1 January 2022 for the vast majority of goods at the point of import.
- Traders importing goods between July 2021 and January 2022 will still be able to use the deferred declaration scheme including submitting supplementary declarations up to six months after the goods have been imported
- Safety and Security Declarations will not be required until 1 January 2022
