Speaking at the launch, Jeremy Yapp, Head of BEAMA Flexible Energy Systems reiterated that industry innovation must be supported and that work on solutions for smart energy management, with or without the smart metering system, should proceed concurrently and at pace. How smart EV charging will be coordinated with the electrification of heat will be of key importance.
