EV Charge Live

22–24, September 2026, NEC Birmingham

BEAMA joins the conversation at EVCharge Live UK 2026

This September, BEAMA will be taking to the stage at EVCharge Live UK 2026, joining policymakers, charge point operators, installers, fleets, site owners and energy specialists to discuss the infrastructure, investment and innovation needed to make the future of electric transport a reality.

Taking place at the NEC Birmingham from 22–24 September, EVCharge Live UK brings together the organisations shaping the rapidly evolving EV charging landscape. Co-located with Solar & Storage Live UK, the event is expected to bring together 15,000 professionals, with more than 150 speakers, creating a major meeting point for the energy, infrastructure and transport sectors.

BEAMA will contribute to the conversation across two sessions and one networking event, covering the policy frameworks needed to accelerate EV adoption, the role of smart energy systems in the next phase of electrification, and the growing importance of flexibility in enabling the transition.

Policy and delivery frameworks for accelerating EV adoption

22 September | 15:50 | Theatre 1: Charge Forward

Policy/delivery frameworks for accelerating EV adoption

Matt Adams, Head of Electrical Transport Systems at BEAMA, will join a panel exploring how robust policy, legislation and delivery frameworks can support a faster transition to electric transport.

The discussion will look at how national ambitions can be translated into effective regional delivery, helping to streamline infrastructure rollout, reduce delays and create the conditions needed to encourage investment across the sector.

Enabling the next phase of electrification

23 September | 14:50–15:10

Presentation: Enabling the Next Phase of Electrification: The Role of Smart Energy Systems

As electrification gathers pace, the relationship between transport and the wider energy system will become increasingly important.

Swetta Coopermah, Head of Flexible Energy Systems at BEAMA, will join a panel examining how smart energy systems can support the next phase of electrification. The session will explore the need to manage growing electricity demand intelligently and how flexibility can help make the most effective use of available energy and network capacity.

Networking: Shaping the future of flexibility in EV charging

23 September | 15:20 | Partner Lounge: EVCharge Live

Hosted by BEAMA

BEAMA will also host a dedicated networking session focused on one of the key issues facing the future of EV charging: flexibility.

The session will introduce BEAMA Flex, a new initiative designed to showcase the value of flexibility to the UK and give industry a stronger voice in how flexibility markets develop.

As EV adoption increases and charging demand grows, flexibility will be an important tool in helping to balance the electricity system, make better use of infrastructure and support a more efficient transition to electric transport.

This session will bring together organisations from across the sector to connect, exchange ideas and discuss the opportunities and challenges ahead.

Join BEAMA at EVCharge Live UK

EVCharge Live UK positions itself as a meeting point for the organisations responsible for turning the UK's EV ambitions into real-world infrastructure and projects. With a programme spanning more than 100 conference sessions across three tracks, BEAMA's participation will bring its expertise on electrical transport, smart energy systems and flexibility to some of the key conversations shaping the next stage of electrification.
