Ventilation and Indoor Air Quality

Delivering healthy indoor air solutions: Ensuring occupants have access to healthy levels of indoor air quality (IAQ), with a focus on promoting the best solutions for the right application.

BEAMA’s role in ventilation

Utilising our combined expertise, BEAMA plays a leading role in helping to shape policy that will deliver healthy outcomes for buildings.

Through our experience, we also know that manufacturers must work with the construction supply chain to improve standards for design, installation and commissioning ventilation systems.  BEAMA and its members offer support in developing guidance and educational materials for housebuilders, installers and stakeholders with an interest in ensuring occupant health.

NEW: Domestic Ventilation Installation and Commissioning Compliance Code of Practice

This is the first publication of its kind for over a decade.

This guide, developed with the RVA, is the culmination of some great collaboration with manufacturers and expert stakeholders and is a must read for anyone involved in design, installation and commissioning of ventilation equipment. Good Indoor Air Quality is a basic human right, so we hope this guide can help to deliver the right outcomes for properties of any tenure across the UK.
