Webinar Series: Energy data and the supply chain

16 September 2020

BEAMA and Foot Anstey invite you to join us for a five-part fortnightly webinar series that focuses on energy data and the supply chain.

Date and Time:

Thursday 8th of October - 10.00am - 11.30am

Generation, communication and use of Open Energy Data are in their early stages. What can the supply chain offer to this process? And how do we get the supply chain’s input accepted?

With guest speakers and interactive discussion we will explore the importance of energy data, the role it can play in system improvements, and how we can maximise its benefits for consumers.

Who should join us for this series?

  • Manufacturers and providers of energy smart appliances, energy data services, data management services, platforms or software, or any other data product
  • Members of the energy and utilities sector engaged in delivering or supporting a modern, digitalised energy system (and we hope that is all of you)

Session one
Open Energy Data: The Big Picture

In the first session of the series we will explore questions that will help set the scene for the series and influence future themes. Guest speakers will explore each question and we encourage audience engagement.

The key questions for discussion will include:

  • What was the Energy Data Taskforce and what did it recommend?
  • Where are we now, and what is being done?
  • What can be learnt from relevant international developments?
  • Where does the supply chain fit in, and how do we make its voice heard

Guests:

  • Laura Sandys CBE, Challenging Ideas
  • Rich Hampshire, CGI
  • Rodolphe de Beaufort, Gimelec
