Lot 38 BACS draft task 3 report

The European Commission are funding a preparatory study for BACS under eco design. The Draft task 3 report is now available and can be downloaded here.
The Objective of Task 3 is to present an analysis of the actual utilisation of BACS in different application and under varying boundary conditions.
The Task will:
- Analyse users, procurers and installers behavioural practices
- Identify the barriers and opportunities for BACS products and systems
- Make recommendations for a refined product scope and on the barriers and opportunities for Ecodesign.
- Provide inputs and assumptions for the assessment in later tasks of the environmental impact and cost of the product and how the standard measurement condition may vary. Any related variation from the measurement conditions specified in standard will also be identified.
