This is the final report from the consultants providing recomendations to the European Commission. This is now with the Commission and we await a decision as to whether they will proceed with a draft regulation. Our current understanding following a meeting between our EU trade assoications and the Commission leads is this is likely to be a long way off. It is unlikely we will see a draft regualtion in the next year. It would therefore be at least 2 years before we may see any labelling requirement in place for smart appliances at an EU level.
