The WMA had the pleasure of hosting the Annual General Assembly of the European Welding Association on the 27^th/28^th June. The event was held in Edinburgh where 35 delegates gathered for this event from all over Europe and the WMA rounded off proceedings by hosting a Scottish themed event with a meal at the Scotsman Hotel (Haggis of course!) accompanied by delightful background music of the Clarsach (harp). The guests were piped into dinner by a Scottish piper who also ‘addressed the haggis’ and then interspersed each course of the meal with a variety of bagpipe tunes supported by traditional Scottish dancers. The evening was rounded off with a whisky tasting session and needless to say all of the EWA attendees had a thoroughly good time.
