BEAMA the "British Electrotechnical and Allied Manufacturers' Association" was founded in 1905
   
BEAMA is a National grouping consisting of 14 Associations representing some 350 companies in the Electrotechnical and Allied Manufacturing Industries in the UK.
   
BEAMA represents an industry with a turnover of £ 13 billion a year and employs over 137,000 people.
   
BEAMA is the co-ordinator for the Electrotecnical Industry with UK government and its European counterparts
   
BEAMA provides a wide range of services to both members and to the industry including Legal, Statistics, Standards , Commercials,Overseas Marketing, Technonlogy, Environmental and much more.
   
BEAMA acts as a focal point for both National and International Trade enquiries
   
Vision
For BEAMA to be visible, and recognised, in the UK and across Europe as the ‘independent expert knowledge base and forum’ for the electrotechnical industry.

To influence the electrotechnical industry’s future direction through transparently and objectively influencing the political, regulatory and standardisation framework shaping it.

BEAMA remains a non-profit making organisation. Our measure of success is defined by growth in annual turnover.
 
Mission
Be the first port of call for industry stake-holders, media, political advisors and associated groups in relation to any/all matters affecting the electrotechnical industry and related sectors.
   
Create and preserve our independence and transparency through migrating from fee-based revenue generation to value priced service provision for our partner companies/organisations.
   
Provide leadership, expertise and independent influence in the areas of product safety, performance, energy efficiency and sustainability.
   
Lead the environmental and climate change debate across the industry spectrum.
   
Credibly educate and inform industry stake-holders of benefits derived via  the electrotechnical Industry.
   
By proactively driving and influencing regulation content and timing,serve UK industry needs in home and overseas markets relating to regulatory impact on their product/service offering.
   
Drive and influence content of international, European and national standards affecting product design/acceptance.
