ECHA Guidance - Requirements for substances in articles - Dec 2015 Ver 3.0
Guidance on requirements for substances in articles. This document aims to assist users in complying with their obligations under the REACH Regulation. Main changes: - The draft no longer uses the terms "complex article” and "complex product". - ECHA decided to use “object” instead of “product” because ‘object’ is used in art. 3(3) REACH. - ECHA deleted all previous sentences stating that the threshold of 0.1% w/w could apply to both component articles and articles as a whole at the same time. Guide states instead that the threshold applies to all articles, including those that are assembled or joined together, as long as they keep a special shape, surface or design - Sub-chapter 4.4 on ‘Determination of the concentration of a SVHC on the Candidate List in articles with different components’ is deleted. - Section 4.5 amended ‘Determining the total amount of a SVHC on the Candidate List in different articles’ to make clear that this sub-chapter is about adding SVHC from different article types
