On the 19th of July 2018, the Secretary of State spoke to the House of Commons on electrical safety stating that “Nothing is more important than ensuring that people are safe and feel safe in their homes”. BEAMA fully agrees with this statement, however there are concerns and evidence from the industry that prove this is not currently the case. BEAMA along with our members have produced a white paper that was presented to the Secretary of State and Minsters on the concerns and recommendations for making people safer.
