ROTATING ELECTRICAL MACHINES – MOTORS
Motors and electrical drives form the link between the electrical energy supply and mechanical processes – as a result machines driven by electrical motors consume two-thirds of all electrical energy used in industry, and therefore is an area which provides significant scope for energy savings and carbon reductions. Although motors are constantly evolving through improved design, materials and manufacture and production techniques, supranational and national legislation and standardization ensures that motor manufactures are having to constantly strive to produce the most efficient product, which provides greater benefits in terms of energy and cost savings for the consumer and environmental benefits for society as a whole.
BEAMA members include manufacturers of a number of motor products, including:
- Low Voltage (LV) Motors
- High Voltage (HV) Motors
- Industrial Motors
