 BEAMA Power Limited (BPL) represents most Tier One suppliers to the UK Electricity Supply Industry. It effectively represents the interests of its member organisations through exertion of significant influence on issues, policy-making and technical considerations.
A founder member of BEAMA, it represents interests of principal UK manufacturers and suppliers of all plant, equipment and services used in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity.
Activities include technical collaboration and representation on BSI, IEC, and CENELEC technical committees.
It liaises closely with representative bodies of members' customers and similar EU associations - eg via participation in European sector committees for high voltage switchgear (CAPIEL HV) and transformers (COTREL). The association is closely involved with BEAMA committees covering contract conditions, price adjustment formulae, and standards policy. |
