BCMA Product Scope

Wound capacitors of film, paper or mixed dielectric construction, with or without solid foils, for operation on ac or dc systems having outputs generally in excess of 1.0 microfarad or 100 volts rms or dc.

Membership

Any Company or firm having its principal place of business in the United Kingdom and which is a manufacturer of any of the Products or which applies a manufacturing process to the Products or their components and which will actively participate in all the Objectives of the Association is eligible for membership of the Association.

Objectives

The objectives of the Association are to promote the well-being of the Industry and of its Members by all lawful means, and in particular:-

• To make recommendations to BEAMA on relevant matters relating to the Industry.
• To maintain assist and promote the Home and Export Trade in the Products.
• To promote and support scientific technical market and other research and developments in the Products.
• To promote and assist maximum productivity and efficiency within the Association.
• To promote and encourage standardisation of the Products.
• To encourage the further development of costs systems and costing within the Association with a view to improving the efficiency of Members.
• To advise BEAMA on any matters of health and safety with particular reference to the Industry.
• To exchange information and statistics as approved by BCMA Council.
