Lawson Fuses is an independent UK Company founded in 1938. It specialises in the design, development and manufacture of Low Voltage fuse-links and fuse-holders.
The Company is based near Newcastle upon Tyne with some 40,000 square feet of accommodation for manufacturing, R & D and customer service support.
Lawson Fuses plays a leading role in the formulation of fuse standards and specifications through its active membership of the relevant committees of BSI, IEC CENELEC and other standards organisations. In addition the company has sponsored and participated in many research and development programmes.
The Company operates a Quality Management System which has been satisfactorily assessed by Intertek/MOODY for compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008.
The Company’s test facilities have been accepted by Intertek as a Recognized SATELLITE Laboratory under the ASTA Recognised Laboratory Scheme.
In addition, Lawson fuse-links have been independently Certified by ASTA to the rules of the ASTA 20 Scheme under which Lawson Fuses is authorised to mark the products “ASTA 20 CERT”.
Testing and Certification are carried out using in-house or external facilities as appropriate.
In-house measurement is independently verified and traceable to national standards.
Lawson Fuses is a major supplier of fuse-links to Electricity Supply Authorities in the UK and many other areas of the world.
The Company’s products meet the requirements of the latest BS, IEC and CENELEC Standards.
