Power

The Power Sector of BEAMA represents interests of principal UK manufacturers and suppliers of all plant, equipment and services used in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity.

Member’s customers are typically the UK Electricity Generators and Supply Industry, and Industrial, Commercial and Transportation users of High Voltage Electricity.
 
It  represents the interests of its member organisations through exertion of significant influence on issues, policy-making and technical matters, including technical collaboration and representation on BSI, IEC, and CENELEC technical committees.
 
It liaises closely with representative bodies of members' customers,  and actively participates on a European basis via membership of the European Association for the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Equipment and Services Industry, T&D Europe.  The website can be found at  www.tdeurope.eu/en/home
 
The Sector is closely involved with BEAMA activities covering contract conditions, contract price adjustment formulae, and standards policy.
