BEAMA’s Cable Management Products Group (CMPG) is the installation sector’s specialist group which represents the UK manufacturers and suppliers of products under the following broad headings –

• Conduit in Rigid (PVC), Flexible and Pliable forms
• Compartmented cable trunking in PVC, GRP, Steel and Aluminium
• Boxes for wall mounted accessories (jointly with Accessories TC)
• Steel channel support systems, cable tray and ladder
• Cable ties and cleats
• Powertrack (up to 63 amp)
• Hospital bed head service modules

Within BEAMA’s Installation Sector the Cable Management Products Group (CMPG) is co-ordinated by a management committee on which all members who manufacture these products are entitled to sit. The discussion of technical issues relating to these products is delegated to the Cable Management Technical Committee (CMTC) which has further individual product committees formed to handle detailed product - specific issues which may arise. These committees are staffed by senior technical officers from our member companies. The work of a product committee typically involves making recommendations to the industry and to International bodies such as the British Standards Institute (BSI) concerning proposals for and amendments to British, European (CEN) and International (IEC) product standards within their area of competence, and the preparation of guidance documents and information on related technical matters. Often the Chairman of a BEAMA Technical Committee (TC) will also act as the BEAMA delegate to the appropriate BSI, CENELEC or IEC Product Committee. In many cases a BEAMA delegate acts as the Convenor (Chairman) of these important groups. BEAMA also provides the Secretary for the CENELEC (European) and IEC (International) cable management standards committees TC213 and SC23A.
