Thermostatic Radiator Valves

Thermostatic valves to control the flow of water through individual radiators.

They should be installed together with a room thermostat to provide boiler interlock. Many modern TRV’s are bi-directional and can be installed in either the flow or return to the radiator and it is no longer necessary to ensure the water flow is in the correct direction. If more than half radiators in a dwelling are fitted with TRV’s an automatic bypass should be fitted to prevent system noise as the TRV’s shut down.
