These controls are battery operated controls designed to transmit and receive signals to switch the boiler and/or pump by radio signals through the air to avoid the need for normal electrical wiring. It is important to ensure the signals are correctly received and not absorbed or reflected by any form of metal screening so it is wise to check the correct operatation of the transmitter (room thermostat) before finally positioning it on the wall.
