BEAMA Recycling Company Ltd
The Recycling Company is part of BEAMA’s programme to promote sustainable development and demonstrate that the objectives of measures such as the European directive on Electrical and Electronic Equipment (The WEEE Directive) in the UK can be achieved by other means.
The founder members of the BEAMA Recycling Company are:
- Cooper Bussman (UK) Ltd
- Eaton Electric Ltd
- Lawson Fuses Ltd
All surplus money raised by the company is distributed to EEIBA (The Electrical and Electronics Industries Benevolent Association). At the 2006 and 2007 BEAMA Installation annual luncheons £1,480 was donated to EEIBA, at the 2008 BEAMA annual luncheon £700 was donated, and at the 2009 BEAMA annual luncheon £1,795 was donated.
