The BEAMA Exhibitions Department plays an important role in the promotion of export opportunities for the electrotechnical industry. It organises, on behalf of federated members and industry participation at a wide portfolio of overseas exhibitions, usually in co-operation with the UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).

BEAMA acts as an Accredited Trade Organiser (ATO) for UKTI under the Tradeshow Access Programme (TAP). This programme enables eligible companies, SME's, 'new to export' and 'new to market' firms to receive a flat grant of 1,800 GBP towards participation in overseas exhibitions.
